Hey Fam!
Anyone that knows me in “real life” or follows me on Instagram, specifically on Instastories can bear witness to how my baby fever has been on the rise over the years. I keep seeing cute babies everywhere!🥺
(If we’re being honest, it’s not a sign from the “universe” or anything, it’s because of how much I’ve viewed, liked & shared posts of babies. So of course, the algorithm will throw them back at me)
Back to the matter at hand: my baby fever. I think in the midst of my heightened love for babies, I kinda realized something…
We should ALL have babies…and fast!
I genuinely mean this. What else are we here for? Why else do we exist?
Weren’t we created to (pro) create? Why do we spend so much time doing every other thing but the ONE thing we are sure we are meant to do?
I do love babies… a lot!! Children in general. My mom says I have always had a soft spot for them, and they in turn, for me. My fiancée, on the other hand, is “tired” of my fascination with them, and often comments on how I glow up at the sight of them. But I doubt she knows why I think that we should ALL have them.
You see, babies are cute. Babies are genuine. Babies are sort of an extension of the person who births them. Babies also happen to be an expression of love.
It’s important to consider the seriousness and urgency of the matter at hand. We should be intentional about birthing our babies. Our baby: dreams, aspirations, visions & goals, we really should.
I know it can be hard in a world where things are constantly pulling at you in what seems to be countless directions.
I know it can be difficult to give time to do the things you love. It’s not the easiest thing to think about writing a book, starting a business, or some other passion of yours, while you have to worry about bills and other “real” struggles of life.
But hey! At the end of the day what really matters? What can you say you’ve poured your heart into? What has your DNA?
Fam! I understand that you might be waiting for certain things to fall in place first, I know you might be looking for how to do it best. (By the way, if you are, then you didn’t hear me last week when I said that “You will NEVER start at your best!”
Your challenge might be that you’re waiting for a better time, waiting to see that very sign.
Well, wait no more, friend. This here, is the sign. This is the time!
Why the unfounded entitlement to life?
What on earth makes you think you have the luxury of time?
You ABSOLUTELY have to CREATE!
You have to express those things within you.
What other choice do you actually have?
Really. Pause and consider the alternatives.
We should all have babies… and we should have them fast!!
Obviously, today’s story isn’t on those types of babies... (sadly)
Speaking of stories…I’m considering sharing a “simple” tip next week, that changed my life! It’s on communicating effectively and telling unforgettable stories.
In any case, what we are talking about here is simple... you need to start creating & investing your energy into your areas of interest & passion.
Quit playing.
Stop stalling.
Trash the excuses.
& Start Birthing.
And no, you won't find a better time to start (not sure how many more times I can say this😭).
There is a lot of victory in actually getting to do! A lot to learn and a lot more to achieve in the process of conceiving and delivering your ideas.
Looking forward to hearing your failure & success stories.
Which by the way, we can start by sharing in the comments.
So, start now. Knowing that at the very least, I am here, steady rooting for you...
Keep Breathing.
Such beautiful storytelling😌
And like someone told me this week, “life is short”. I think as opposed to viewing that statement from a place of fear, we can choose to use it as a way to view life with the urgency it requires. Life is short and we need to birth because “what else are we here for?”.
Thanks again for this beautiful piece.
Looking forward to the next read🙏
Love love love this. Well done, Ebube
