Hey Fam,
It turns out that the reason I want to get your attention today is to put your mind at ease. Iād like you to picture what your life could be if you truly believe in yourself: say cheese!š
It took me a while to accept the fact that I didn't have to segment my life so much, that my skills and talents could be used in diverse (and yet complementing) ways. It took me a while to understand how my affinity for people would translate to my passion and work in social impact.
It took me a while to realize that my penchant for analogies would play a crucial role in my writing and teaching. It took me a while to make the connection between my creative ideas and āsimplyā giving cool names to things, to my undying love for branding and strategy.
See, it took me a while to be able to actively apply my ability to command attention and my sense of humor to my MCing & event hosting ācallingā. It took me a while to see how my punny and poetic nature could help me tell stories that engage, entertain, inspire, and empower people.
Yes, all these didn't happen overnight. It took me quite a while to connect certain aspects of my capabilities to parts where they were needed, and believe me, Iām still exploring, discovering, and connecting.
If youāre anything like me, you might find yourself drawn to different things, some at the same time and others at different points in your life. Truth is, more often than not, our passions find different forms of expression, sometimes based on what phase of life weāre in, who we associate with, or what weāre exposed to. It helps if we are able to find connections.
And no, Iām not saying we should become obsessed with being able to identify them immediately, please. By all means, live, and just be. But when you find those pockets of existential awakening that draws you to the corner of introspection, then, yeah, trying to find connections could be one way to go.
We weren't exactly created in folders. Our lessons, talents, skills, passions, and knowledge are all necessary to fulfill our short & long-term purpose and dreams. But sadly, we tend to hide them, or other times, we simply arenāt aware, and fail to connect the dots. A lot of this will happen over time, could be weeks or months, years even, but some of them you can discover when you dig deep.
Many of us don't live because we are so scared of dying.
Many ideas will never fly because we are so scared of trying.
Life is about failing and those who aren't scared of it.
So when you think you might fail, think about what you might learn from it.
If you take one thing out of my rambling today, I hope it is the thing that makes you take the time to see how different parts of you connect and work together in making the awesomeness that you are.
I mean it, actually TAKE THE TIME. Write it out if you will, make illustrations⦠You have all it takes to get to your Peak, yes, it's in you. And by all means, create the life you've always dreamed ofā¦
Now over to you.
Keep Breathing.
Great Bro, thanks, love it! šÆ
