Before you go on reading, if you can… Clap twice 👏🏾👏🏾 (You’ll find out why at the end)
Recently, I’ve been developing a bias for execution. Or in simple & non-corporate terms, for doing. And I guess this is what Jisike Culture represents to me.
It’s crazy to think that in different ways, for many years I had started doing or dreaming of a lot of the things I’m developing now.
In the About section of this publication, I painstakingly summarised what I hope we will achieve here, and it’s as exciting to me as it is objectively daring.
As far as origin goes, Jisike is not a new concept for my Igbo folks and those that know, nor is it a new venture for me—seeing as I registered the business (6 years ago) and even had the name trademarked.
However, one thing that will always be fresh for me is the desire to do, and the irony of this is that I’m not a fan of being busy, but I am an advocate of doing. I believe that doing and being are as intertwined as night and day, or the Chicken and the Egg. I can’t authoritatively tell you which one is greater, or which one comes first, but I think we can agree that they both need each other to exist.
I think in theory, I embraced failure a long time ago. That is, the concept and necessity of failure, now and again, almost as often as the sun sets. But what that also means for me in practise is that I tend to do, and in doing, I tend to seek out the best ways of getting things done. So far, I have enjoyed droplets of success, and endured waves of failure. But you know what? That is typically the recommended ratio—a few wins can drown out multitudes of failure, cause in the real sense of it, failure was never really a detour, but a bus-stop. The issue is that many people get off at bus-stops before getting to their destination. But not you, right? And if it was, you don’t want that to be you anymore, right? And if so, then you’ve passed the vibe check. Well, almost.
Now, here we are.
Choose ONE thing you’ve been shying away from doing for the longest time. Could it be that course you started with enthusiasm? How about the book that you have somehow not gotten to its end? Ooooh, I just remembered that you are trying to get some much ‘needed’ gadgets that will help you properly create content, right? And those 10k steps a day target that you’ve had for the longest time, do you want to consider starting with 2k consistently and then moving up from there? Hmmm?
Funny thing is, most of these questions are actually attacking me personally, but my guess—abi hope—is that fellow wanna-be doers like me will come across this, and maybe be actually inspired to do something about it.
“It” here is totally up to you.
One Day or Day One?
Now, Clap Once.👏🏾
Don’t worry I didn’t forget. So… all that clapping and blinking was simply to keep you active and engaged, to get you doing.🤭 Somewhat similar to the goal of this post as well. Hope you passed the vibe check?
Keep Breathing.
Jisike!🙌🏾
I guess you have successfully shouted on my head to go complete a book I started since February. You try! Mind you I clapped twice as you instructed. 😂 🤭
